Villa Magnolia – A Self-Catering Holiday Home

Project Details

The website for Villa Magnolia was originally built using WordPress and the Beaver Builder (later WP Bakery) page builder plugin. The site was slow and the owner found it difficult to edit using the builder interface.

Having worked with a designer on a new brand image for the business, the owner decided it would be a good time to rebuild the site so I removed the builder and related plugins to simplify the site and make it easier to manage.

We added an Instagram feed, reworked the menu, and I provided guidance on ways to improve the site’s SEO – with suggestions for the blog and new pages to promote the local area.

Tools & Technologies

  • WordPress with the Kadence theme

The homepage of the Le Cheval Blanc B&B website

Le Cheval Blanc – Cookery School and B&B

The Le Cheval Blanc website was originally set up when they opened their doors as a vegan and vegetarian bed and breakfast serving French and English-speaking clients in the South of France. They needed to rebuild the site around their vegan cookery school business – restructuring the menus, adding relevant pages, and repositioning them as a cookery school, while also offering a bed and breakfast.
