The Le Cheval Blanc is a WordPress website that uses a custom template. Initially I worked with the business owners on updates and maintenance, but after working with them for a short time it became apparent that the site no longer reflected their business. The site was designed when their vegetarian/vegan B&B first launched but since then they had setup a cookery school and it was here that they wanted to focus their attention.
To achieve this we added new pages for specific course types that are offered by the cookery school, consolidated the pages that referenced the B&B, and introduced new page layouts for the workshops listing. We revised all the image sliders, using images of the food and cookery class sessions rather than the original images, which focused on the local town and the accommodation.
To support their marketing efforts we created a custom landing page linking to a MailerLite mailing list.
We used 301 redirects to ensure that traffic coming to shared URLs is redirected to the most relevant page of the current site and also added an SSL certificate.
The result is a site that reflects the current business aims of the owners and is designed around their ideal client.
